He played in 1879 to 1895 as Short Stop, 1st Base, Pitcher, 2nd Base, Outfielder and 3rd Base for the Washington Senators, the Louisville Colonels, the Pittsburgh Pirates, the St. Louis Browns, the New York Giants, the Indianapolis Hoosiers, the St. Louis Maroons, the Cincinnati Outlaw Reds and the Cleveland Blues.
