Orator Shafer is a Major League Baseball player. He played in 1874 to 1890 as Outfielder, 1st Base, 2nd Base and 3rd Base for the Philadelphia Athletics, the St. Louis Maroons, the Buffalo Bisons, the Cleveland Blues, the Chicago White Stockings, the Indianapolis Blues, the Louisville Grays, the Philadelphia Whites, the New York Mutuals and the Hartford Dark Blues.
