He played in 1966 to 1982 as Outfielder and 1st Base for the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Philadelphia Phillies, the Montreal Expos, the San Diego Padres, the Texas Rangers, the New York Mets, the Atlanta Braves, the San Francisco Giants and the California Angels.
